What does RF microneedling do?

Your RF microneedling appointment
After topical numbing cream has time to take effect, your provider cleanses your skin and customizes the RF microneedling device settings based on your gender, age, skin color, and treatment area or areas. The provider moves the microneedling device across the area. The insulated needles easily penetrate the skin, releasing RF energy directly into the dermis layer, causing little to no discomfort.
What to expect after RF microneedling
Although each person’s experience varies with treatment intensity and skin sensitivity, you can expect your skin to look flushed and slightly puffy after the treatment. These aftereffects typically resolve within a few hours to a day or two. Many patients return to work the same day. You may apply makeup to treated skin after 24 hours.
Results
Results develop gradually as the boosted collagen production improves your skin’s tone and texture. If you had an EXION Clear RF treatment, additional improvements in pigmentation, brightness, and surface smoothness will also become apparent over time.
