EMFACE

EMFACE is a nonsurgical facial rejuvenation treatment based on the same technology as EMSCULPT NEO noninvasive body contouring.

How it works

EMFACE combines high-intensity facial electromagnetic stimulation (HIFES™) with synchronized radiofrequency (RF) energy to treat facial skin and muscles simultaneously. The RF energy heats the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production to reduce lines and wrinkles and tighten the skin. HIFES technology induces rapid facial muscle contractions for a subtle lift and more contoured look. EMFACE transforms the framework of your face from the inside out.

Candidates

Men and women who want to address signs of aging without undergoing an invasive surgical procedure are usually good candidates for EMFACE. While results are less dramatic than a surgical facelift, EMFACE offers natural-looking results without incisions, scars, or downtime, making it an attractive alternative for many patients. Plus, it safely works on all skin types and tones.

What happens during an EMFACE treatment?

EMFACE treatments take just 20 minutes and are painless. Here’s what else you can expect during your EMFACE treatment:

• After lying down, your provider gently cleanses your face and places applicators on your cheeks and forehead.
• As treatment begins, you will feel a warming sensation accompanied by rapid muscle contractions—this is not painful and is well-tolerated by patients.
• After 20 minutes, we will remove the applicators, and you will be on your way and back to your daily routine!

Results

While you may observe some improvement after a single treatment, most patients require 3 to 4 sessions, each about 5 to 10 days apart, before achieving their desired results. It takes some time for collagen, elastin, and muscle fibers to build and for the skin to become smoother and firmer, but the wait is worth it!

While EMFACE results can last up to a year, we recommend regular touch-ups to help maintain your rejuvenated look. Practicing a good skin care regimen and protecting your skin from sun exposure are also essential.

EXION Face

EXION Face, performed with the EXION RF ultrasound platform, is the first noninvasive treatment to restore the body’s natural ability to produce hyaluronic acid (HA) in the skin. SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® is another HA booster, but it requires injections and has shorter-lasting results.

How it works

This noninvasive treatment simultaneously releases RF energy and targeted ultrasound to stimulate fibroblasts within the deeper layers of the dermis through thermal and mechanical stress. These regenerative cells produce HA, collagen, and elastin to make the skin firmer and smoother.

Candidates

Safe and effective for most skin types, EXION Face smooths and tightens skin on the face, neck, décolletage, arms, and hands. The EXION Body treatment uses a larger applicator for skin tightening and fat reduction on the abdomen, thighs, upper back, and other areas of the body.

What happens during EXION Face treatment?

Treatments take 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the targeted areas. As we move the applicator across the skin, you’ll feel warmth that typically does not cause discomfort. Afterward, you can return to your regular daily activities. Treated areas may be slightly red and swollen for the first day or two.

Results

Improvements develop gradually as HA, collagen, and elastin are replenished. For optimal results, you will need 4 sessions, each spaced 7 to 14 days apart. Studies have shown an increase of 224% in HA, 50% in elastin, and 47% in collagen after a series of treatments.

Opus Plasma

This next-generation fractional skin tightening and resurfacing treatment minimizes wrinkles and reverses damage caused by the sun and the natural aging process. Opus Plasma’s versatility enables us to adjust treatment intensity from gentle to aggressive, depending on the patient’s skin condition and goals.

How it works

This innovative platform combines radiofrequency (RF) energy with plasma energy to increase collagen production and rejuvenate the skin’s surface. Like other laser skin resurfacing treatments, Opus Plasma creates tiny pinpoint wounds on the skin’s surface while leaving the surrounding tissue undamaged. The body’s natural healing response repairs these controlled wounds by producing new collagen and elastin.

The Opus Plasma system controls the time RF energy makes contact with the skin to minimize discomfort, inflammation, and recovery times.

Candidates

Because we can adjust the treatment’s intensity, virtually anyone concerned about their skin’s appearance is a good candidate for an Opus Plasma procedure. It produces results similar to an aggressive CO2 laser or a gentle laser peel, depending on the setting.

Opus Plasma is safe for most skin types on the face, neck, abdomen, and arms. Benefits include:

What happens during an Opus Plasma treatment?

We begin by applying a topical anesthetic to the target areas to minimize discomfort during the treatment. Once the skin is numb, the specialist glides the Opus Plasma handpiece across the skin. We can treat the entire face in 15 minutes. After completing the procedure, the specialist applies a protective balm.

Patients usually notice some slight redness and swelling after the treatment, but it usually resolves within 24 to 48 hours. More aggressive treatment settings can extend the downtime.

Results

Even though most patients see improvement after a single treatment, we recommend 2 to 3 treatments, each spaced a month apart, for optimal results.
