Your lip filler appointment
Because the lips are delicate and sensitive, we do our best to make the treatment as easy as possible. We only use fillers that contain lidocaine and can apply numbing cream if desired. Your provider will make the injections into the lips with a fine needle or microcannula.
You will notice improvement immediately; full effects are visible in about 1 to 2 weeks, after swelling dissipates and the filler integrates with your tissues. You may need to return for a touch-up treatment in 4 weeks for optimal results. We prefer to under-treat rather than risk making the lips look unnaturally large.
Lip filler recovery
No downtime is required, so you can return to your daily activities right away. Swelling and possibly bruising are normal and typically fade in 2 to 7 days. Be sure to follow your post-treatment instructions carefully to minimize excess swelling and other complications.

Lip filler results last 6 to 12 months, depending on the filler used and individual patient factors.
