If you’ve noticed your hair is thinning, don’t panic. At Preventative Medical Clinic, we offer safe, effective, minimally invasive PRP hair restoration treatments in Omaha and Millard, Nebraska. When started early, this natural, nonsurgical option can help stop and reverse hair loss using the regenerative properties of your own blood.
What is the PRP hair treatment?
Much like the Vampire Facial®, the Vampire® Hair Treatment uses platelet-rich plasma extracted from the patient’s own blood to stimulate declining hair follicles into an active growth phase and induce regrowth.
Candidates for PRP hair restoration
At our clinic, PRP is showing impressive results in treating the following concerns:
Thinning hair
Hair loss at the top of the scalp
Receding hairline, particularly along the temples
Male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia), especially in the early stages of balding or any time there is extensive miniaturized hair on the scalp
Female pattern hair loss at all stages
Hair loss related to metabolic causes like iron deficiency and medication
Hypotrichosis (fine/reduced hairs) of the eyebrows or beard

The PMC difference
Our superior hair restoration results are due to the training of our staff and our enhancements to the PRP process.
Our expertly trained staff
PMC is proud to have been trained by Charles Runnels, the inventor of the Vampire® treatments. Every medical team member is certified to prep and apply PRP and completes continuing education on PRP preparation each year. While other practices may perform PRP treatments now and then, we prepare and administer PRP every day.
Our specialized technique
We enhance PRP hair restoration treatments by:
Creating PRP with the FDA-approved AutoloGel™ system or YES PRP Kit™.
Adding a biologic scaffold material, called an extracellular matrix (ECM), to strengthen follicles and activate dormant stem cells. Using ACell and BioD ECMs leads to healthier and more robust new hair growth.
Your Experience
The incredible service you expect from Kohll's is at the core of what we do here at Preventative Medical Clinic. When you visit us for a cosmetic or wellness appointment, you can anticipate the personal, knowledgeable care that's been our hallmark for more than 70 years.
This outpatient procedure takes less than an hour to perform in our office. Your practitioner first draws a small amount of blood from your arm, which is as easy as getting a blood test. The collection tube is placed in a centrifuge to isolate the platelets from the rest of the blood, creating PRP. We then add calcium chloride to the PRP to cause the platelets to release growth factors.
After numbing the scalp with a local anesthetic, your practitioner injects the PRP into the thinning areas. Next, they use the Dermapen® microneedling device to create tiny punctures that they fill in with additional PRP.
Recovery: None needed. You may resume all activities, including workouts and shampooing.
Treatment protocol: 3 treatments, each spaced 8 to 12 weeks apart.
See results: New hair growth typically becomes noticeable in about 8 weeks, with final results 3 months after the first treatment. At this point, we decide whether a second treatment is required.
How do we measure results?
As with any hair regrowth treatment, results can initially be subtle. At PMC, we use HairCheck trichometry to show that our PRP/ECM protocols significantly stimulate hair regrowth and hair follicle rejuvenation within just weeks.
Who is the PRP hair treatment NOT for?
Though PRP yields excellent results for those suffering from hair loss, it’s not for everyone. People with complete hair loss in an area won’t benefit from this treatment because it does not help grow new hair on a bald patch. The treatment can only make the thinning hair thicker by revitalizing functioning hair follicles.
