How Does EMFACE Work?

EMFACE combines high-intensity facial electromagnetic stimulation (HIFES™) with synchronized radiofrequency (RF) energy to simultaneously treat facial skin and muscles. The RF energy heats the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production, while the HIFES technology induces the facial muscles to repeatedly contract.

This dual process lifts and sculpts facial contours while smoothing out wrinkles. EMFACE transforms the framework of your face from the inside out, tightening loose skin and naturally improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles without needles.

What is EMFACE Submentum?

EMFACE Submentum is a noninvasive procedure performed with a specialized submentum applicator that treats a double chin layer by layer by toning the muscles, reducing fat, and tightening the skin. It makes an excellent choice for those who don’t want surgery or injections, such as KYBELLA®.

What happens during an EMFACE treatment?

Part of the appeal of EMFACE is that the procedure is quick and comfortable, and you will be in and out with virtually no downtime. Here’s what you can expect:

1. After lying down, we will gently cleanse your face.
2. Your provider will apply applicators to your cheeks and forehead or under your chin (for Submentum).
3. As treatment begins, you will feel a warming sensation accompanied by rapid muscle contractions—this is not painful and is well-tolerated by patients.
4. After your treatment is complete, your provider will remove the applicators, and you will be on your way and back to your daily routine!

Treatment protocol: Weekly treatments for 3 to 4 weeks

How long does it take to see results from EMFACE?

While you may observe some improvement after a single treatment, most patients require 3 to 4 sessions before achieving their desired results. It takes some time for collagen, elastin, and muscle fibers to build, double-chin fat to be flushed away, and the skin to become smoother and firmer, but the wait is worth it!

How long do the effects of EMFACE last?

While your EMFACE results can last up to a year, we recommend regular touch-ups to help maintain your youthful-looking glow. Practicing a good skincare regimen and protecting your skin from sun exposure with medical-grade skincare products is also essential.
