Your Experience
The incredible service you expect from Kohll's is at the core of what we do here at Preventative Medical Clinic. When you visit us for a cosmetic or wellness appointment, you can anticipate the personal, knowledgeable care that's been our hallmark for more than 70 years.
At PMC, we offer a range of non-invasive laser skin rejuvenation treatments designed to restore the skin’s youthful appearance by addressing issues such as excess pigmentation, fine lines, and uneven texture. Each treatment utilizes advanced laser technologies to target specific skin concerns with minimal downtime. We offer leading treatments such as Advanced Fluorescence Technology (AFT) / Dye VL, a next-generation IPL treatment and Opus Plasma® at our Omaha clinic.
AFT Dye VL, performed with our Alma Harmony® laser, is a next-generation form of intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy. AFT converts light energy into heat that penetrates the skin’s surface harmlessly, heating pigment, which is flushed away by the body.
Most IPL treatments emit a broad range of light at different wavelengths, including the ultraviolet spectrum (for which we wear sunscreen when we go outside). AFT treatments use a unique filter that eliminates the ultraviolet spectrum, making it one of the safest types of IPL.
Candidates
AFT is ideal for correcting hyperpigmentation, freckles, age spots, redness, and vascular lesions. It is safe for various skin types but is most effective for lighter skin tones. Candidates should not have active skin infections or recent sun exposure or take photosensitive medications.
Your treatment
To ensure your comfort, we apply a cooling gel beforehand. During a Dye VL treatment, the provider passes a handheld device over the treatment area, emitting light pulses that typically cause a warm sensation. Some patients describe it as a mild stinging, similar to a rubber band snap, but it is generally well-tolerated. The treatment lasts about 30 minutes, depending on the size and number of areas being treated.
Most patients need 3 to 5 sessions spaced about 4 weeks apart for optimal results.
Recovery
Minimal downtime is needed, with some redness or slight swelling that typically subsides within a few hours to a day. Many patients also notice a healthy glow immediately after IPL treatment, though skin may feel slightly sensitive. It’s important to avoid direct sun exposure for two weeks after your Dye VL treatment.
Results
Most patients notice brighter, healthier-looking skin after just one treatment. After a few sessions, you can expect a more even skin tone and a noticeable reduction in pigmentation. The skin appears smoother and rejuvenated, with a healthy glow.
Results typically last several months, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and sun exposure. With a proper skincare routine and periodic maintenance sessions, you can expect long-lasting improvements in tone, texture, and overall radiance.

Opus Plasma is a cutting-edge fractional plasma technology that combines radiofrequency (RF) energy with micro-plasma energy to address deep skin concerns. It creates controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface, triggering the body’s natural healing response. Opus Plasma’s versatility enables us to adjust treatment intensity from light to aggressive, depending on the patient’s skin condition and goals.
Candidates
Opus Plasma is safe for all skin types and tones because it does not use laser light energy. It is ideal for those with deeper skin concerns, such as scars, moderate wrinkles, or skin laxity. Plasma energy also treats many other issues, such as skin laxity, acne scars, and stretch marks.
Your treatment
Before beginning, your provider applies a topical numbing cream to minimize discomfort. As your provider runs the handpiece over the skin, you may feel a slight prickling or warm sensation that is typically tolerable. Each treatment session takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.
For optimal results, 1 to 3 sessions are typically recommended, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.
Recovery
Recovery time is minimal, with mild redness and swelling for 1 to 3 days. It may take up to 7 days for redness to fade with more intense treatments.
Most patients see noticeable improvements in skin tone and texture within the first week, with results that continue to build as collagen is remodeled. With proper skincare and sun protection, results can last for several months, and many patients choose periodic maintenance treatments to extend their benefits.
Results
Results from Opus Plasma can be seen after just one session, though multiple treatments may be needed to correct more severe issues. Patients experience firmer, smoother skin with a noticeable reduction in wrinkles and scars. Full results become visible as the skin matures and produces new collagen over several weeks.

Laser Skin Resurfacing FAQs
Can IPL tighten my skin?
Yes. IPL stimulates collagen production, mildly tightening the skin and improving firmness over time.
Will IPL get rid of broken capillaries?
Yes. IPL is effective for reducing the appearance of small veins and broken capillaries by targeting blood vessels beneath the skin.
Do at home IPL treatments work?
Not as effectively as professional treatments. At-home IPL devices may improve minor concerns, but they are less powerful than med spa treatments and typically produce subtler results.
Does a fractional laser treatment hurt?
No, fractional laser treatments are usually well tolerated. Most patients describe the sensation as warm or prickly, and numbing cream is often administered for added comfort.
When can I wash my face after a fractional laser treatment?
It’s usually okay to gently wash your face the next day with a mild cleanser. Always follow your provider’s specific aftercare instructions to ensure smooth healing and glowing results.
