What is EXION RF ultrasound?

The EXION device is multifunctional and engineered to address a variety of treatment areas and concerns. In addition to the EXION RF microneedling applicator, EXION offers noninvasive treatments with the EXION Face and EXION Body applicators.

EXION Face

EXION Face is a noninvasive skin tightening treatment that renews the production of hyaluronic acid (HA), collagen, and elastin in the skin.

How it works

This noninvasive treatment releases RF energy and targeted ultrasound simultaneously to stimulate fibroblasts within the deeper layers of the dermis through thermal and mechanical stress. These regenerative cells produce HA, collagen, and elastin to help the skin look and feel more youthful.

What can EXION Face do?

EXION Face is safe for most skin types and tones on the face, including the delicate areas around the eyes and lips, under the chin, the neck, décolletage, arms, and hands to address the following concerns:

• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Dryness
• Thinning
• Laxity
• Crepiness

We can combine EXION Face with EXION RF microneedling for enhanced rejuvenation.

What happens during an EXION Face treatment?

Treatments take 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the targeted areas. As the provider runs the applicator across the skin, patients feel warmth that typically does not cause discomfort. Afterward, you can return to your regular daily activities. Treated areas may be slightly red and swollen for the first day or two.

Treatment protocol: 4 sessions, each spaced 7 to 14 days apart

Results

Over the weeks after your treatment, the skin gradually becomes smoother, firmer, and tighter as HA, collagen, and elastin regenerate. Expect to see the final results 3 months after your last treatment. Studies have shown an increase of 224% in HA, 50% in elastin, and 47% in collagen after a series of treatments.

EXION Body

EXION Body is a noninvasive body contouring treatment that can help people struggling to lose those last few inches, who have mild to moderately lax skin after weight loss, or who want to make cellulite less noticeable.

How it works

In addition to tightening the skin with simultaneous RF energy and focused ultrasound, EXION body penetrates deeper to reduce underlying subcutaneous fat. The applicator’s built-in active cooling ensures treatments are safe and comfortable.

EXION Body is safe for most skin types on the abdomen, arms, and legs. Women and men choose it for the following benefits:

• Smoothing and tightening lax, thinning skin
• Reducing pockets of fat on the body, including hard-to-treat areas such as the upper back (bra fat), above the knees, and fat under the buttocks (banana roll)
• Softening the appearance of cellulite

EMSCULPT NEO® is another noninvasive body contouring treatment that reduces fat and tones muscle. During your consultation, your provider will help you determine the best treatment for your needs and cosmetic goals.

Your practitioner will run the handheld applicator in a circular motion over the targeted area, causing a warming sensation that typically does not cause discomfort. You may experience mild redness and swelling in treated areas for the first day or two; however, no downtime is needed.

Results

Patients typically notice gradual slimming and firming as the body flushes out treated fat and HA, collagen, and elastin increase in the skin. Most attain final results 3 months after their last treatment. BTL, the device manufacturer, states that clinical studies have demonstrated an 85% improvement in skin laxity, a 22% decrease in fat, and 224% more HA after a series of treatments.
